D-PAN and the University of Michigan College of Engineering formally announce a $10,000 Technology Challenge, a prize for individuals or groups utilizing technology to enable deaf and hard of hearing participation in live music events.
Underwritten by the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship and taken to students by MPowered Entrepreneurship, the prize will be made available to students who succeed in applying new wireless technologies in enabling deaf and hard of hearing individuals to “feel” music in a live concert setting.

Come to the Kickoff Concert!This Friday, November 21st we are hosting a concert to celebrate the beginning of the Feel the Music competition! Come listen to great music and check out current technologies to help the hearing-impaired experience music. This is a good opportunity to find team members for your competition entry and meet the sponsors behind the event. It will be held at 7pm in the Duderstadt Center visual arts studio. |
